There is a fixed number of tokens in a term's work, set by the curriculum. Answering the same question fifty times earns nothing. The only way to earn is to master something you could not do before.

How it works

No endless feed and nothing to scroll. A short set of questions, a timer generous enough to think, and a clear finish.

Your child picks a topic

Straight from the CAPS syllabus for Grade 4 — place value, rounding, number patterns and the rest of Term 1.

Multiple choice, one at a time, on a timer

45 seconds a question by default. Generous on purpose — many children write in English as an additional language, and this is a maths test, not a reading race.

Questions get harder as they get better

Five difficulty levels per topic. Answers only count towards mastery at or above the level they have reached, so easy questions stop paying once they are easy.

Tokens land when mastery does

At 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of a topic. Each one pays once, ever.

Tokens, and what they are worth

Tokens are the whole motivation, so they are kept honest. They are counted, never priced, on your child's screen — a child saving for a skipping rope is doing something different from a child told their work is worth R25.
